Academic Overview

The major strength of any school is the teaching staff. At Faith Christian, we have a dedicated group of men and women who have been called by God to be educators. Our outstanding faculty and staff are ready and anxious to assist your child in developing to his or her full potential.

A Christian education is a total education. We are committed to providing a biblically based education to children and young people from Kindergarten through grade 12. A positive Christian environment, with Jesus Christ pre-eminent in all things, is encouraged to help develop Christ-like attitudes and behavior. Every subject in the curriculum is taught from a Christian perspective and reinforces the importance of using biblical principles to confront daily life in order to honor God and parents. Bible courses are taught at every grade level, along with daily devotions and weekly chapel services for spiritual growth.

At FCS we divide the education process into three stages:

Elementary

Here we begin building a strong foundation with phonics, listening, and writing skills.  We then strengthen basic skills in math, reading, and language arts; as well as courses in science, social studies, spelling, handwriting, art, music, and physical education. Each student is challenged to develop their academic, creative, and spiritual gifts for personal growth and the encouragement of others.

Middle School

We refine the basic skills developed in the elementary program by challenging students to develop proficiency in personal management, higher level thinking skills, and positive interpersonal relationships. Students are invited to participate in co-curricular activities such as athletic teams, art competition, choir, student government, and ski club in preparation for high school.

High School

In our final stage, we prepare our students with an academically challenging instructional program for those preparing for college, technical school, or employment. Each core course (Math, Science, English, History and Bible) includes an honors option. Additional areas of studies include art, drama, yearbook, computer technology, and music. Students regularly take part in co-curricular opportunities such as athletic teams, student government, worship team, Honor Society and ski club. Our college preparatory, business, and general courses provide a range of studies to meet a variety of student needs.
