Faith Christian’s Middle School works to foster the full potential of each student in mind, body, and spirit. Its faculty is dedicated to working with young adolescents in and out of the classroom. Teachers work with students at each grade level. Learning at Faith Christian is an active process. Teachers use varied methods of instruction to teach to the multiple learning styles of students. At Faith Christian we believe that middle school students need to develop self-discipline and responsibility in both their personal and spiritual lives. It is our goal to help each student to develop and mature to be more like Christ and a leader in their sphere of influence.
Our seventh-grade and eighth-grade students are guided in developing higher-level critical thinking, personal management, and interpersonal skills as they prepare for high school.
These students study Pre-Algebra and Algebra, Life Science and Earth Science, Constitutional and Pennsylvania History, General Literature, with Writing and Grammar (research papers, composition), Art, Drawing, Physical Education, Health, Computer Applications (introduction to Microsoft Office 2016), Music Theory, Music Appreciation, and Introduction to Foreign Language. Biblical studies focus on Proverbs and dynamic Christian living.
Students participate in independent science inquiry, culminating in a science fair. They also have the option of joining praise team, chorus, and student council.
Grades 7-12 Foreign Language
We offer students the opportunity to learn French, German, and Spanish as core languages, and Italian, Latin, and Japanese as electives. All languages are learned utilizing the Rosetta Stone program.
There is a dedicated art room and a dedicated music room. Our middle school and high school students undertake scientific inquiry in our science lab, and there are two fully updated computer labs. Student athletes have access for training in our weight room.
