Theater/Drama may be offered as an elective class for 9th – 12th grades or as an after-school, extra-curricular activity. Students may choose to participate to grow in their confidence and performance abilities. The drama elective is designed to build speaking and theatrical skills that students will use throughout the year in chapel and school events, and carry into their future careers and ministries. Students acquire theatrical and technical skills while learning the art of dramatic entertainment. Students are encouraged to participate whether their interests lie in acting, set and costume design, advertising and marketing, lighting and props, or stage management. Drama and theater are great avenues for presenting Christ, so it is our hope that students will have the opportunity to apply the skills mastered to further the reach of the gospel and to encourage others with their personal testimonies. Should the Lord choose to elevate the status of one of our budding actors, it is our desire that they would use their talents in productions that ultimately lead to His receiving all the glory!
