Spiritual Growth
The spiritual welfare of each student is of great importance to the faculty and staff of Faith Christian School. We will endeavor, with God’s help, to provide the spiritual atmosphere in which every student’s Christian character can blossom for the glory of our Lord.
Teacher Devotions
Every morning before school starts, the teachers come together for morning devotions. If you have any prayer requests, please get them to the office so that we can include your prayers and praises as we pray.
Classroom Prayer
Each morning in the elementary classroom, students participate in a time of prayer.
Chapel
Each week our students participate in either elementary or high school chapel, which consists of praise and hymns, prayer and an age-appropriate message. Local pastors, youth leaders, and other committed Christians come in to give the message. We have a praise team that leads music.
Operation Christmas Child
OCC is one of our annual mission projects. K12 students go to our gym to fill shoeboxes with donated items and items they have brought from home. We appreciate parent volunteers to help out on this day. We also have a committee that plans and purchases items for the shoeboxes.
Bible Making
Throughout the school year our students lead various fundraisers for our Bible making project to contribute to the cost of this project. Each year in late winter or early spring, our gym turns into an assembly line as we assemble Bibles. Working with Bearing Precious Seed, we receive the printed pages and covers. Younger students then collate the sections, older students fold covers and upper grade students use the stapling machines. In 2½ days, we make over 20,000 Bibles. These Bibles are small – just the books of John and Romans. It is believed that this is enough of the Bible to get a new believer started in the Christian faith. They are printed in many languages and are distributed by missionaries around the world. Last year we topped 427,500 Bibles made in our little gym since we started in 2008. Statistics show that about 7 people read each Bible that is distributed, so we have shared the word of God with almost 3 million people! Praise God!
