A major strength of any school is the teaching staff
At Faith Christian, we have a dedicated group of men and women who have been called by God to be educators. Our outstanding faculty and staff are ready and excited to assist your child in developing to his or her full potential.
A Christian education is a total education. We are committed to providing a biblically based education to children and young people from Kindergarten through grade 12. A positive Christian environment, with Jesus Christ pre-eminent in all things, is encouraged to help develop Christ-like attitudes and behavior. Every subject in the curriculum is taught from a Christian perspective and reinforces the importance of using biblical principles to confront daily life in order to honor God and parents. Bible courses are taught at every grade level, along with daily devotions and weekly chapel services for spiritual growth.
OUR APPROACH
Educational Philosophy
The educational philosophy of Faith Christian School is based upon the fact that all truth is God’s truth and each student must be brought into a vital, living relationship with God in all areas of life including mental, physical, spiritual and social.
It is the intent of Faith Christian School to assist parents in fulfilling the biblical mandate and in upholding their convictions concerning the education and training of their children, with the understanding that this is a shared ministry of the home, school and church.
At FCS we divide the education process into three stages:

Elementary (K – 5th Grades)
Here we begin building a strong foundation with phonics, listening, and writing skills. We then strengthen basic skills and teach courses in math, reading, language arts, science, social studies, spelling, handwriting, art, music, and physical education. Each student is challenged to develop their academic, creative, and spiritual gifts for personal growth and the encouragement of others.

Middle School (6th – 8th Grades)
We refine the basic skills developed in the elementary program by challenging students to develop proficiency in personal management, higher-level thinking skills, and positive interpersonal relationships in preparation for high school. Students are invited to participate in co-curricular activities such as athletic teams, art competition, choir, band, student government, and ski club.

High School (9th – 12th Grades)
In our final stage, we prepare our students with an academically challenging instructional program for those preparing for college, technical school, or employment. Each core course (math, science, English, history, and Bible) includes an honors option. Additional areas of study include art, drama, yearbook, computer technology, choir, and band. Students regularly take part in co-curricular opportunities such as athletic teams, student government, worship team, National Honor Society, and ski club. Our college preparatory and general courses provide options of study to meet student needs at both levels.
