As culture shifts with every new trend, influencer, celebrity, or crisis, raising children can feel increasingly disconcerting. We live in a world that often appears to lose its moral compassโwhere truth feels fluid and everyone does what is right in their own eyes. What is celebrated as โtrueโ today may be dismissed tomorrow.
In this climate of change and confusion, families long for something enduringโsomething steady and trustworthy. At Faith Christian School, we believe the answer is clear: Christ-centered education.
Since 1980, Faith Christian School (FCS) has stood as a guidepost of academic excellence anchored in the unchanging truths of Scripture. While the world continually redefines its values, our mission remains steadfast: to provide a unique Christ-centered education that instills character based on biblical principles and develops academic excellence for the purpose of preparing young people to serve and impact the world for Jesus Christ.
With this mission at the heart of our work, FCS engages the mind, nurtures the spirit, and equips students to transform the world.
A Testimony of Godโs Direction
Recently, Lisa Borreggineโgrandmother and guardian of Nova, a new first graderโshared how God led their family from the Jim Thorpe School District to Faith Christian School:
โNova went through five different teachers in Kindergarten, there was no love for learning or students, the curriculum was very secular, and Nova was told repeatedly that she could not talk about Jesus in class. I can say from experience that sending her to FCS was one of the best decisions our family has made.
First and foremost, her love for Jesus has grown tremendously. She knows His Word and joyfully shares it with family and friends. Each week she proudly recites her verse of the week and shares it with our pastor on Sundays.
Because I enrolled her six weeks into the school year, I was concerned about how far behind she might be academically. But her teacher, Mrs. Eze, worked closely with her throughout the transition. Though the academics at FCS are more rigorous, Nova is now excelling. I no longer carry that worry.
FCS has been a safe, healing place where my granddaughter can grow spiritually, academically, and socially. We are deeply thankful to be part of the FCS family.
If you ask Nova what she loves most about FCS, she simply says, โEverything.โ
A Legacy of Truth
Years ago, the Faith Christian School Board articulated our enduring values through this meaningful acronym:
Faith is more than a name; it is a way of life.
Faith – Every student deserves to hear the good news of Jesus Christ and to place their faith in Him as their Savior. (2 Tim. 1:10; Gal 2:16)
Academic Excellence โ Every student will receive a quality, Christ-centered education. (Prov. 9:9; Prov. 13:14)
Image Bearers โ Every student bears the unique image of God and therefore deserves to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, or ability. (Gen. 1:26 โ 27)
Truth โ Every student will be taught that the Bible is the source of truth. (Ps25:5; 2 Tim. 3:16)
Honor โ Every student will strive to honor God in all aspects of their lives โ in the classroom, on the athletic fields and courts, and in their relationships with each other. (Col. 3:23)
These values are more relevant today than ever. As secular voices grow louder, Christian education offers a sanctuary where students learn to think deeply, live faithfully, and lead courageously.
Anchored in Godโs Word
At FCS, we do not shield students from the worldโwe prepare them to shine within it. Students engage with current events, worldviews, literature, science, and the arts through a biblical lens. Whether studying chemistry, civics, or contemporary culture, they discover Godโs design woven throughout all things.
This is not an education that avoids hard questionsโit encourages students to wrestle with them and grow in wisdom and conviction.
Faith That Forms a Future
Raising children in a confused world is not easy, but families do not walk this path alone. At FCS, we partner with Christian families and local churches to shape the next generation of believers, thinkers, and leaders. We are training students who will stand firm in cultural confusion and bring clarity, peace, and hope to the world around them.
Martin Luther described God as โa bulwark never failing.โ God cannot be moved, and when our lives and teaching are rooted in Him, neither can we. In a world of shifting sands, Faith Christian School offers solid ground.
The truth of the gospel, the truth of Scripture, and the truth that God is actively working in the lives of our students drive us to remain faithful to our mission.
The FCS Board of Directors thanks you for your continued prayers and support as we uphold this calling.
