Spencer is the son of Laird and Kathleen Thomas of Nazareth, PA. He began attending Faith Christian School in tenth grade after being homeschooled for most of his elementary years and ninth grade. Spencer played varsity soccer for Faith Christian for three years, and served as a co-captain and captain his junior and senior years, respectively. Additionally, he played basketball during twelfth grade and participated in track and field his sophomore and junior years. He continues to run regularly as a member of the school’s running club. Spencer is an active member in the National Honor Society. He also was the school representative to the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Conference during his sophomore year. He attends Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Nazareth and his favorite Bible passage is Ephesians 2:8-10. In the fall, he will be attending Geneva College where he will major in mechanical engineering.
